In a recent vendor briefing, BT Partners gave us a look into the Rootstock ERP Technology, along with some key features of the Salesforce integrated platform. The session began an overview of the company, a full-service tech consulting firm who uses a strategic approach to solve challenges. They understand their client’s business and approach the work through a trusted advisor role.

The company has 50 employees, all of whom tout strong qualifications in all functional areas necessary for a successful implementation in the manufacturing and distribution space. The Rootstock ERP solution has various points of integration with HR, PLM, PDM, CAD, and Payroll platforms. This was illustrated in a workflow during the vendor briefing. The Rootstock solution also has ample functionality for the following:
- Forecast Demand – The solution handles projects neatly, which is especially useful for project-based manufacturing.
- Capacity Planning – The workbench shop floor schedule changes are easily viewable and changeable due to superior drill-down capability.
BT Partners has a few integrated applications, which include Revenoca, ZenKraft, and ComplianceQuest. The company also hosts a large Salesforce User Community that serves as a collaborative support environment with over 2 million members who actively participate in helping others to navigate the tool.
Rootstock Time to Implement
While the implementation methodology and time to implement varies by customer, the average time period is 24 weeks. Like any implementation, data conversion is the most time consuming part of the project.
