Ciber’s Focus on Manufacturing
We asked Mark to focus on one of the areas of most interest to Ultra, primarily software and software services related to manufacturing. With this, Mark gave us an overview of Ciber’s capabilities and experience in some key industry verticals.
Process manufacturing is a core vertical for Ciber Solutions. Offering ERP and product development services to process manufacturers around the globe, they have experience with over 1,000 projects and over 200 customers in process manufacturing. In line with what Ultra has seen recently, Mark says that many of their engagements have been with food and beverage manufacturers. They also have experience with pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturers implementing full ERP solutions in highly regulated and validated environments.
Ciber Solutions counts over 400 discrete manufacturing customers, with automotive as its leading vertical in discrete manufacturing. However they are not just focusing on ERP within discrete; Ciber also aims to assist their clients in streamlining processes through various technologies such as HR and scheduling solutions.
For these discrete manufacturing verticals and related processes, Ciber leads with SAP and Infor products. They assist their clients through an ERP transition, seeking to minimize risk and complexity by allowing clients to deploy their new solutions in a phased approach with components running in the cloud and on-premise. Ciber’s managed services are another key differentiator for them. Fully cloud capable, Ciber Solutions offers full 24×7 managed services coverage making implementations and new projects easier to manage and less expensive to deploy.
Lastly, Ciber’s customers choose them for flexibility and an ability to work with the ERP vendors and product development teams to collaborate on a solution that fits best with their client’s needs, and their understanding of the industry. With customers like Jelly Belly and Champion Petfoods, Ciber Solutions carries to their projects a high level of credibility and experience with business software for manufacturing.
