Like many ERP vendors, Oracle works hard to win customers. However, with many midsize manufacturers, Oracle must also battle the stigma that they only serve the large (>$500M) companies. Taking a closer look at Oracle customer base and you will see that nearly 3/4 of all Oracle customers are midsize businesses.
We recently sat in on a JD Edwards software demonstration at one of our make-to-stock clients and learned about Oracle Accelerate and how Oracle successfully serves midsize companies.
Oracle Accelerate is designed to help midsize companies maximize limited resources. We have found that our customers benefit from shared innovation at lower cost from the industry’s largest Development and Support organization. Through the Accelerate program, customers get full functionality of Oracle enterprise software and benefit from one of the largest and most vibrant ecosystems in the software industry.
With the knowledge and experience drawn from thousands of customer implementations, Oracle has built enterprise solutions that serve our clients in the Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order and Engineer-to-Order markets. Today we continue to see more and more of our small to mid-size manufacturing clients looking to Oracle ERP software products as their potential solution. Our clients are attracted to having the option of leveraging best business practices that Oracle has gathered from working from large fortune 500 companies.
As more midsize manufacturers take a closer look at Oracle and get a better understanding of how well they serve the midsize market, the ‘only for the large company’ stigma that Oracle battles will continue to erode. Midsize companies are learning the great benefits of partnering with a Tier I ERP vendor.
