MES collects real-time shop floor data for the production process, and presents that data through displays for operational supervisors and management personnel. MES software is a powerful tool that helps manufacturers monitor and control their production processes in real-time. In many cases MES captures additional data including quality metrics, maintenance metrics and understanding of the current state within a machine, such as pressure or temperature. MES can gather a tremendous amount of information and help facilitate the production cycle.
